First 2009 finish!

Yes, its 23rd May and this is my first finish of the year. Having a baby really cut down my stitching time LOL It's LHN's Always and Forever stitched with DMC4230. I stitched most of this in the hospital when Caleb was zonked out. Its a gift for someone so ive covered up the initials and date in case they read my blog. I need to buy a frame for it now.

Thanks for all the comments regarding Caleb. He is doing fine! We have had a great healthy week. Im enjoying maternity leave and im filling up my weeks nicely now. On Mondays we go to a tinytalk class, Tuesdays are currently free but theres a mum and tots group i might check out next week, Wednesdays we have the baby clinic and then baby massage, Thursdays a mum and tots group in the morning, Fridays/Saturdays are free then Sunday is a church day. Its good to be out and about. If we stay in all day i find it too long and Caleb is much harder work.

This is bank holiday weekend. Yesterday was so sunny and lovely i took Caleb out for a 3hour walk. Today is grey and rainy. Glad to have DH at home for an extra day :-)

Congrats on your finish! It's beautiful! I believe you fail to mention that you've spent a lot of your stitching time working on Caleb's birth sampler which is a big (and amazing) project!

So glad to hear Caleb is doing well. It sounds like you two are getting out a lot. I need to use you as inspiration to get myself out of the house with the little ones and find some mommy groups of my own!

Goodness, woman, I turn my back for a bit and all hell breaks loose! I was so sorry to read about poor Caleb, and very happy to hear that he''s recovering so well. Now let's hope you and DH can leave this behind you as well.

Sounds like Caleb is keeping you rather busy. I'm amazed that you managed to get so much lovely stitching done at all!

Congratulations on your first HD, it's a lovely piece. It's good to hear the little man is doing well - sounds like you've both got a busy social life. :0)

For some reason a new baby around can hurt the stitching time indeed! LOL That is a gorgeous finish! I love that pattern and hope to one day get it and stitch it myself. The color you chose is great for that piece!! Great job and congrats on the finish!

Lovely finish :)

I am pleased that Caleb is doing well, it is nice to get out and about. I liked to go out with my babies , it was easier (and still is even though they are 6 and 10 they just fight over games consoles/games now at times , or plague me non stop for food of the rubbish variety (which I have under strict limits) if we stay in too long ; ) . There was only a mother and baby group on once a week here, then that stopped. Going to get mine weighed every week at the baby clinic was my social event :-) You are lucky to have a few things.

Take care of you both :)

Lovely finish girl!
Sounds like you and Caleb are having lots of fun and mommy/baby time at the same time.
The stitching will be there when Caleb has grown and gone.

So glad to hear Caleb is back to doing fine, how scary to have to go through all that. Hopefully he stays well for a good long time now. Beautiful finish, the color you picked is lovely. I have this in my stash but haven't stitched it yet.
