Shaming myself into action

This, im embarassed to say, is my spare room. I am posting this picture to shame myself into doing something about it....this weekend. I can honestly say it has never been this untidy. Its all clean laundry i must point out but it needs put away!! We dump everything in this room and shut the door so visitors will never know LOL This Easter weekend DH is home Friday and Monday so i'll have baby-free time...tidy Cheryl tidy!!!!

Anyone doing anything nice for Easter? I'll be tidying (obviously) but am also meeting some friends for a walk this afternoon and on Sunday after church we have a 1st birthday party. Sure other things will crop up too.

Happy Easter!

I've seen worse if it makes you feel any better! I know someone whose entire house looks significantly worse than that! :)

Easter is a big deal in our family, so we all gather at DH's aunt and uncle's house for an enormous Easter gathering of the entire extended family!

Happy 1st Easter to Caleb!

Well hope your plan works though it does look a massive undertaking lol. Must admit ironing must be the top of my list of Things I Hate.

We have an ironing pile that usually resembles the Leaning Tower of Pisa more often than not - at least you have the excuse of having anew baby. ;0) LOL Hope the tidying goes well & you also have time for lots of fun stuff too. :0)

Good luck with the cleaning - my spare room looks just about like that, so not to worry!

Have a happy Easter weekend.

This is a great idea! Maybe I should post some pics of a few areas in and around my house to shame myself! LOL At least it is a spare room and not the living room! Thats not to bad!

Hey, you're a new mom who can stitch as well? I had a room like that and I couldn't stitch when my baby was born. Don't be too hard on yourself.

The sampler for Caleb is looking lovely and he's such a cute baby! Enjoy your Easter weekend.

My ironing pile looks very similar, lol. And I don't have a newborn baby to take care of. So don't be too severe towards yourself.
Have a nice Easter holiday.

OMG< I completely understand. I do these photo checks on my hovel in an attempt to embarrass me into organizational action, but they embarrass me so completely that I haven't the courage to post them. You go girl!

And belated bday congrats to you and your little angel (who, btw, is too darn cute for words!!!!)

lol Cheryl .. hope the shameing worked .. but honestly I've seen worse and you do have an excuse, a cute little 11 week old excuse :)

We usually get together with both sides of the family for Easter. This year we were going to do a night time Easter egg hunt Saturday night .. but my dad is really sick with the flu and I'm still not feeling great .. so we'll celebrate Easter next weekend.

I must admit that I don't have an ironing pile. I wash, the MOTH irons it the same day. It's the only way to keep things to a minimum. I will also admit that it's probably the only thing that is totally to order in our lives. Everyone has the equivalent of your spare room in their lives. I think ours is the garage! LOL. And like Kim says, I know someone else who has a whole house like that.

Wow! Bub's first Easter. Very special! Have a great one.

lol, wow. I can't say much, my whole house looks like that right now. Just add about half a dozen partially packed boxes (and hide the iron, because for some insane reason beyond my grasping, I already packed that) and it would be identical. If I can get one room fully packed, I'll call my Easter a good one. :)

Oh, hon you made me laugh. Don't get lost in there.
Happy Easter to you, your DH and that sweet little Caleb.

You're a braver woman than I am! ;)

P.S. Put down the iron now! You've now spent enough time on getting things in order. It's time for fun!

Besides, it's only on TV and in elderly mothers-in-laws' houses that perfection reigns. Go have fun for what remains of the weekend.

I swore no more blogs were going to be added to my list but yours has made it too. I spend, I think, too much time reading them but hey it's only time.

Now, at least your spare room is big enough to take this. Good luck in clearing this up, it honestly wont take as long as you think just do it a bit at a time and it will take no time at all. I will be back (do I sound like Swartznegger?). Love Patti xxx

Cheryl hun - mine is much worse lol!! I DO want to sort it though. Just when?? xx

Hmmm, looks like areas of my house. Notice I did say areas, so your only having one room like this I don't think is so bad. :)
Hope you were able to get the bit of free time you were hoping for. Also, hope Caleb is all better now from his cold you mentioned earlier.

Gosh you are brave LOL. My ironing pile is pretty high but I have it in the under stairs cupboard , I think I am going to phone the Ironing Ladies to collect it for me as it is out of hand ;-)

I am off to do boring housework today , namely sorting my little DS's room out .

Take care x
