Missing bloggers

Im trying to eat healthier. I had blueberries and natural youghurt for breakfast. That's 2 days in a row. I have a lot more fruit and veg in the house now Caleb is eating and its inspiring me to eat better. There'll will be exceptions, many, but generally i will eat healthier. Or eat more fruit and veg at the least. DH wants to lose an inch (or two) off his waist so there's another incentive.

On a completely different subject, isnt it weird when bloggers go missing? There's a few blogs i've been following for years, get to know them (kinda), get to know their lives, follow their ups and downs and then suddenly there are no more posts...and havent been for months/years. I so often wonder whats happened. You follow someones life on their blog (well those are the blogs i most like; life with crafts thrown in too) so when they go missing it's bizarre. You hope nothing awful has happened, that they just got bored with blogging, but you have to wonder eh? I know from personal experience that when life is tough the last thing ever on your mind is your blog but anyway, i still wonder......

Speaking of blogs...do you have blogs that you just love to read? The ones you go to straight away when you see a new post? I do. One of my favourites is Balancing Everything I love that blog. The woman is amazing! I love the pacifier clips she sews but im always too darn slow in keeping up with blogs that i miss it when they're on sale. You cant comment on her blog which i think is pretty cool...you can get too caught up in blogging for comments. I used to be a bit like that, not any more, my blog is pretty much for me. I do love getting comments though! Another of my favourites is Scotland for the Senses, makes me feel proud of where i come from and inspires me to visit more places in my country.

Before i go here's my Mary Wigham update, its the only thing ive been stitching on recently. Wanna take bets on how long it'll be before i get bored of it ? LOL At the moment im enjoying it

Hi Cheryl
I know what you mean about comments and most times I'm a bit of a lurker but occasionally I call for a visit :-)
Love the resolutions - I'm back to the gym this week after an absence of a few weeks (summer is coming to this part of the world soon!)
And .... another update photo of the beautiful boy would be good!

It is really sad when a blogger you read goes off the radar. I have even told my DD that if anything ever happened to me to post on my blog...

I do not like blogs you can't comment on. I like the interaction with the author; I like to ask questions.

Your MW looks beautiful!

I know what you mean, I can definitely be a sporadic blogger depending on what is going on in my life but there are a few that disappeared entirely. Makes me a bit sad.

Love your Mary Wigham. I was going to make a blazing start on mine and then I found out it's the stitchalong for my Sampler Guild. I decided to wait until September and start with the other ladies in the group.

I, too, wonder about the bloggers that suddenly stop. You can't help but wonder if something happened.

A blog that is fun to keep up with is Spinster Stitcher (spinsterstitcher.blogspot.com/). Even her dog "Stewie" gets on once in awhile and writes--Great Fun!

Have a great day!

I know what you mean about missing bloggers. I actually was one a while back! LOL I have so many blogs that I just love to read and can not wait to see their updates.

Hi there girl. I know what you mean. It does seem strange when people just go missing. That has happened to a few bloggers I follow too. My BFF Beatrice knows to let everyone know if something happens to me and my DH knows to pass my stitching stuff on to her. A girl has to be prepared.
Glad that you and little Caleb are doing well.

I am a serial commenter for the most part. Every now and then I will read a blog and not have the time to post a comment of my own (that's mostly when I have 50+ blog posts on my Google Reader to get through). But usually even if it's been a month or more since I've posted to my own blog, I'm still commenting on others' blogs. And I do wonder from time to time what's been going on with people who haven't posted in a while. Sometimes people just disappear. I've disappeared myself at one time or another!

I love your resolutions! I need to follow this. DH and I just got a new double jogging stroller and I'm trying to eat better and go running 3 times a week. Let's see if we can both do better Cheryl!

I always wonder about missing bloggers too...hope they are ok. Good you are trying to be healthier. I am trying myself...the eating part is hard but I made it to the gym a couple of times so that was good. Love your progress on MW.

I've been a bit MIA lately, it's summer and I seem to be busier than ever!

Your MW looks great, I have it, but am no where near making a start on it ;)

Good luck with your healthy eating, nice to hear about Caleb too :)

Your MW is looking great! I don't know if I'll ever finish mine at the rate I am going at... lol

Sometimes I don't notice bloggers missing until they publish something and then I realise it's been ages since they last posted!

I like the interaction with comments, but also find it good having a blog so I can remember when I did stuff.

Hope you soon enjoy the benefits of the healthy eating. I often wonder what's happened to folks too.
Mw is looking great. :0)

If you're not already, get yourself set up on a Reader like Google Reader. You don't have to visit each individual blog to see if there's an update - the reader does that for you. Then you have the choice of reading the content in your reader or visiting the blogs themselves. VERY handy!

Mary Wigham looks great.
I also like to comment to blog entries and I love the comments left on my blog. Of course, I don't always have time to comment but I try to leave a comment on every third or fourth entry.
I don't blog very often, just when I have something to show. I love both kinds of blogs, the ones with stitching entries only and the others that tell the life stories of their owners.

Your MW piece is looking lovely. As to your note on eating healthier, when my daughter was little I ate much healthier too, wanted to set an example for her and had the items in the house for her to eat too. Now that she's moved out, my eating habits have really gone down hill.

I just love your MW, looking great!

I often wonder if anything happened to missing bloggers, but then again, I go missing occasionally. I guess some people start blogging just to see what it's like and how good they are at it, and after a while just lose interest, especially if they don't have people commenting. Without feedback it feels like one is just talking to herself. That is why I decided to comment on as many entries as I can.

I too read my blogs through Google Reader. It is comfortable but if I don't log in for a few weeks I get hundreds of unread entries! That can be scary sometimes. :D

It's funny you should mention missing bloggers. I was just checking out some blogs again where there haven't been any posts in months. Makes me wonder too.
MW is coming along nicely.
Now that my boys are all gone my eating habits have been awful. Some nights when my DH is working I skip supper altogether.
