Just checking in

It's been over a week since my last post. Im so busy at work at the moment. A lot of projects ive been developing are all coming together at last and im busy, busy as a result. I was also away at the weekend. Remember the camp i went to in the summer? Well, we had a reunion weekend for the kids. Friday night was the coldest night of my life. The weather was so bad. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves though!

There has been little stitching done recently. I did finish this ornament from the 2006 JCS ornament magazine. It's a design by Cherished Stitches.
The rest of any free time i have is going into sewing my tablerunner for the quilting class i attend. I had to miss last Thursday night because i was working, so i am behind. My mum has been showing me what i missed though. Im trying to get this block done before Thursday. I believe this is the logcabin pattern. The lighting is bad in both these pictures. The clocks went back at the weekend. It was dark by 5pm tonight!! I don't like it.

Hope you are all having a good week!

That's a lovely ornament you've stitched, and your table runner is off to a great start. Good luck with everything!!

You're quilting is fab so far!! My quiling skills are rubbish. I'm working on Leanne's house BOM and it's all wonky and squint....but I love it still, ehhehe.

I wish I'd seen that machine in my Tesco's, my machine is on the way out and I'm looking for a good replacement.....without spending too much, lol.
My Tesco never have good stuff like that :(

CHeryl, I love both the table runner and the Cherished Stitches piece. I seemed to have skipped that page in the 2006. Hmmmmmm possibly I need to unearth that issue again.

love your stitchy piece. It's coming along lovely :) Pretty Ornament :)

The quilting looks wonderful, too :)

I also hate the time change. It's so dark in the morning and in the evening.

Boo to early nights :( Now I leave in the dark, come home in the dark. I hate it too. Your quilt is looking great - keep it up, it'll be worth it :) I'm STILL waiting for my JCS 2007 (and I don't have 2006 to fall back on) - have you managed to get one yet?? hugs - Stephanie

Lovely ornament, and your table runner is going to be beautiful. Hope work calms down a bit for you, at least to give you enough time for other things!

Lovely ornie! How I envy you learninf to quilt, I'd love to but there no such courses here. Cheryl, does your sewing machine have automatic tension (I think it's called)? I also wanted to buy a cheap one as my first last year but someone told me to get one with aut. tension and they were much to expensive (maybe I looked at wrong ones!)

You're doing great with your projects, especially done by hand and when you are so short on time! I think you'll be much happier when you can quilt on your spiffy new sewing machine :-)

Our time is changing this coming weekend and I'm not looking forward to it. Love the ornament!
I'm having a busy week as well but I still haven't accomplished as much as you have. Your quilting is really coming along!

Yay - strawberry production has begun! In a small way anyway as I started stitching one at lunchtime today. I'm looking forward to getting on with it more but am limiting myself to my lunchtimes on this. Thanks you very very much for sending the chart!

Oh I just love those colors! Great finish! The table runner is coming along nicely too. Our clocks don't go back until tomorrow night and then we will be living in darkness for the next few months. Time for more stitching!
