Baby Sampler

Thanks for the comments about my job on my last post. Whilst it is totally unfair, i have a peace about it all now...in other words...ive stopped caring about work, the end is nigh there! If i go back, there will have to be a higher salary for me too. If not, i will look for a part-time job elsewhere. Im glad to reach this point as it was messing with my mind too much last week.

I still have a cold but it's not half as bad anymore. I had to take a few sick days and got lots of stitching time in whilst watching my Lost season 3 boxset. I have chosen this piece to stitch for babyT's room
and this is what i have done so far

Im enjoying working on this! Its from The Historical Sampler Company, ive never bought anything from them before but certainly will in the future!

DH and i have just been out walking and then we went out for a lovely lunch. Now i plan to spend the rest of the day/evening relaxing and working on this sampler! Hopefully more progress pics soon!

Your baby sampler is looking great! And you are thinking right about the job. I thought I would return to work after my daughter was born, and never did. I don't know what you'll do, but regardless, your whole world is about to change :).

What a cute sampler! Glad that you've stopped worrying about the work issue. I know that worrying too much can make things worse! Just think of the new baby coming! You won't even think about work then!

The sampler is going to be adorable, I love the panda at the top and the little paw prints going around the side. You've made a nice start on it. Good luck with work, sounds like it is quite frustrating at the moment. Somehow it always seems new people hire in at a higher wage than existing people even when they don't have as much experience in the job, almost makes it feel like you have to change jobs to get ahead. It's not fair, and at a charity it would be even more frustrating to have to deal with.

Your work situation is certainly unfair, but I am glad that you have chosen not to worry about it too much. Love your sampler and your baby bump is lovely.

What a lovely sampler! I have yet to start my sons and he's nearly 3!

I'm glad your past the anger stage, no point if you're not going back...it is true what someone wrote in your comments you do have to change jobs every few years to make more money...sad really seems like staying with one company is no longer the proper thing to do.

That sampler is just perfect for your baby, Cheryl! And good for you for making your peace with the situation at work. How much longer? Four weeks or something, right? Not worth it!
