SAL and (another) new start

I managed to work a bit on my SAL this week. Progress is quite slow but i only manage an hour, or two at the most, on this a week. Here's my progress picture, my little people now have hair I also have a new start to show. It is an ex-freebie from this site. Im stitching it with DMC 115.
*edit*if you want this chart, it is no longer a freebie but you can purchase it. I also finished and posted my squares for the Fair and Square Exchange. Ive since heard that my exchange partner has a new address though and so i don't know if she'll get my squares or not, because i had her old address. I'll be gutted if she doesn't receive them after all my stitching :(

After moaning about the rain on Sunday, we have had a lovely week. Not hot, but dry and bright. That's better than rain anyway. Because it has been nice we cancelled the swimming plans and have been biking 2 nights this week instead. My legs and bum are so sore after tonights ride. If the weather stays nice we're hoping to get away to one of the Lochs this weekend. We might camp over night on saturday, we havent decided yet, but we'll definitely go away for the day on saturday and take the bikes. Should be fun!

Glad you're having some better weather at last! :) It's been lovely here this week, warm (but not too hot) and sunny mostly.

Lovely work on your SAL and I like the start to your freebie too!

Sounds like a lovely way to spend the weekend. Now that I'm back down south, I'm very jealous!

Just to let you know - your RR arrived safelywith me yesterday. I'll need to start thinking what to stitch over the weekend.

Lovely Wip's, Cheryl! Sorry to hear about all the rain, I wish you could send a little all our way.

Is there any way I could get a copy of the Amitie freebie? That site no longer has a copy of it posted and I would love to get it. wjbolduc@rogers.com

Your SAL is so cute and really hits home with this rabid coffee drinker. I drink coffee during the day a switch to my MEG (Manhattan earl gray) at night. I buy this loose tea from a shop in Oregon.

I know what you mean about VOHRH being an expensive proposition. I bought the chart a few months ago and now I am breaking up the buying of the silk over a few months. Oh to be rich and frivolous!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Where oh where is that chart??? I can't find it. Hope your squares reach your partner. xx

Love the new start! I'm trying to decided whether I should stitch it in green or purple. Have you stitched on Dollhouse lately? I thought of pulling it out today but I think I have stitching blues because I haven't felt like stitching at all :-(

Hope the weather stays nice! We had a tornado here (first in 118 years!) and it's raining again but that's ok because it's been unbearable HOT and today it's jeans and a light sweater type of day which I LOVE!

Have a great weekend!

Hi, Cheryl! Coffee is so cute. And you are such a tease about the old freebie...new to you...start. I think I saw it on Vero's blog finished. It makes a really pretty piece. Have a good time with it!

Both look great, Cheryl. I'll take some of that nice weather you have. It's been hot and humid with rain mixed in. Yuck!
