Thank-you Donna!

The lovely Donna sent me a gift certificate for Mary Kathryn's online store. The stash i ordered arrived last week.

Snappy Sampler - Bent Creek
The Bookshelf - LHN
My Beloved - CCN
32 Ct Bo Peep Pink Belfast Linen

Thank-you so much Donna! You are great!

Im afraid i have no stitching to show, in fact, im not sure when i will! Im busy stitching but can't show any of it. Im stitching for the Specific Designer Exchange (LHN) on the SBEBB and ive also started my Fair and Square piece - i got Donna as my partner!! Im trying to get those done (or at least underway) before the next RR arrives in October.

Thursday evening is the start of the quilting class. I'm looking forward to it. Apparently we will be starting with making a tabletop runner for Christmas. Today is a local holiday in Glasgow -woohoo!! Im going swimming this morning with my mum and then we're going for lunch afterwards.

I was just thinking the other day...I love stitching/blogging about stitching and have met some great friends through this. The one thing i don't like about blogging is when people just go missing. I find it distressing! I totally understand that things happen in people's lives and blogging becomes totally insignificant. However, i wish sometimes people would just log on and write one sentence, even to say bye or just say i won't be around for a while. That's understandable. I find it distressing when people just disappear...recently one blog i visited a lot was suddenly deleted. Please don't think im annoyed or anything by this...im not, it's just concerning when friends just go missing, not to be heard from again. The worst could happen and you'd never know. Guess that's just part and parcel of blogging/internet world.

Right, im off to get ready for some much needed exercise. Have a good week!

Great new stash! And I know what you mean about bloggers who suddenly disappear - I feel the same way. You wonder what has happened to them and worry and hope that its nothing bad.

Great stash. I know what you mean about going missing. It is disappointing and sometimes worrying when a blogger just stops blogging. xx

i know what you mean about when people go misssing. I guess some people just don't think that we are our own little community on here and that the people who read thier blogs are their friends.

I agree I wish people would post something too.

Enjoy your holiday.

What lovely charts you got! I've got The Bookshelf, last year and have been meaning to stitch it. Maybe we could do a SAL sometime next year. I see you've got your end of the year mapped out ;)

I know what you mean about bloggers just up and go. I suppose they have their reasons. We can just hope nothing really bad has occurred.

You're right, it leaves me worrying too! Aren't we a weepy lot...

Love the new stash. And although Exchange stitching is a lot of fun, it does limit your blogging somewhat, doesn't it?

Just shows what a wonderful community we belong to, when so many care. Great stash there Cheryl, I also have the bookshelf, perhaps an SAL is in the wind for this one.

Great charts! I feel the same way when someone disappears from blogging.

Looks like you have some lovely stitching in your future. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we, as a community, would be mindful of each other a little more.

Your new stash is yummy!

On the subject of missing bloggers ... Sometimes life just becomes so overwhelming that simply breathing in and out takes a person's total concentration and energy. Everyone reacts differently in such a situation, and sadly some people need to withdraw for awhile. We're a close-knit community and it's wonderful to know how much everyone cares about everyone else.

Love the stash Cheryl and you are so right when you say that Donna is a sweetie! She is a sweetie of the First Order and so are you!
I know it is terrible when you lose track of a friend. All we can do is hope that everything is ok in their life and all is well and they just need some distance.

Fabulous stash! That Bo Peep fabric is so pretty. I agree, it is worrisome when people go missing for long periods, or their blog disappears with no explanation. I recently sent an email to one such missing person, and still have no response. So I'm doubly worried!

Hope you enjoy your holiday. Enjoy your new stash.

Great stash!!! I also agree about the missing bloggers or others on the internet. It is a lot like relationships in life... you are real close to someone for a while and then the other person just drifts out of your life or you just loose contact. All you can do is just hope for the best for them and move on.

Thanks for all you sweet comments at my blog !!!! Your tops!!!

Hi! Cheryl, Thats some awesome stash you have there.
I have recentlty seen probably that same blog deleted, and was wondering what had happen too. Like you said one sentence would make us feel better, if we just know they were o.k. and just gone for abit.
Have a great time at the quilting class on Thursady.

Hi Cheryl,
I've been really worried about Karen V - remember her blog, My Favorite Things? It's deleted as I'm sure you know and she was such an avid needlelady that it's weird for it to just disappear without her telling about it. Hope she surfaces again. I know what you mean about delays in blog posts.

Take care and see you after the move!
Tanya :)

Great stash! Hope you've had a great holiday. I love those long weekends!
I imagine it is distressing when a fellow blogger disappears. Sometimes people just need to take a step back and concentrate on their immediate concerns. Hopefully it's nothing really bad.

Good luck with your quilting class!

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog. I am so excited that you are starting to learn quilting. I LOVE it. I have a hard time deciding what I will do, stitch or quilt? :D Your new stash is very nice, we have similar tastes.

Let me know if you need any advice for quilting, once you get the basics down you will be fine!

I agree with you on the blogging thing, it is hard to see someone not post, or just delete their journal. We have all become so close huh?

love your new stash! That fabric is sooo pretty!

I love reading the comments about the missing bloggers .. It's really amazing how close we all feel about one another and how much we enjoy each other blogs .. I haven't been blogging for very long, but already know I would miss you all if you suddenly disappeared. Maybe your post Cheryl will remind us that a quick post just to say you'll be gone a while helps the rest of us! lol

I know what you mean about bloggers going missing. Sometimes life is just too much. I've had to try very hard recently just to make the occasional post when I haven't really felt like it, but for me it's worth it as I wouldn't want to loose the friends I've made through blogging.

Still working on your RR - it's looking good!
