Winter House and RR

I received word that Cathy got the package i sent her for the SBEBB Winter House Exchange. I stitched her a CCN chart from JCS 2006 Christmas ornie magazine and finished it as a wee pillow. I sent her other goodies too but i don't have a photo, you can see those on Cathy's blog. Funnily enough, if you read my previous post, you will have seen that Jean stitched this design for me too :)I havent done anything on either of my SAL pieces this week (Cirque des Cercles and Dear Diary) because the little free time i had was spent trying to finish of Lizzy's RR to send on to Lesley tomorrow. I finished my square anyway....Here's the whole piece....Doesn't it look great? Lizzy wanted everyone to stitch a LHN Dear Diary chart. It was working on this RR that made me realise how great all the Dear Diary pieces would look together, hence the SAL with Laura and Vonna!

Had a busy weekend. On Friday night my mum and I went for dinner and then went to the cinema to see PS I love You. The film was okay, not as good as the book. Last night we were out at our friends house. Tonight is the usual sunday night girly get together which we havent had in a good few weeks now. Then its back to work tomorrow :(

Have a good week!

We went to see PS I love You last weekend and I had the same thought about the movie - enjoyable, but not as good as the book.

The CCN is so adorable. And you did a great job stitching the Mary Heaton square on Lizzy's RR. I am going to just try to stitch one of the virtue squares this week on Dear Diary because I have some other exchange projects to stitch. That's the plan anyway. I am looking forward to seeing yours.

Your SBEBB Winter House Exchange is so sweet. I love the colors you used to finish it.

I loved reading PS I Love You so much I couldn't go and see the film. I just didn't like what i'd seen of the comercials on how they changed it. I'm gald you had a nice time out with your mum though. :)

Cheryl - I received the Winter Quaker design from you this weekend, and just wanted to say thank you. It was absolutely gorgeous, and such a perfect thing to stitch for me.

Good tip about the movie, I didn't even realize it was a book, I'll have to pick it up and read it, and pass on the movie.

Wow - that RR is lovely!! I loved the movie, PS I LOVE YOU but yes, the book was so much better. Still a good chick flick though - made me cry buckets! I thought Harry Connick, JR was great in his part. Have you read Ahern's other books? I tried to get into her new one called THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HERE but it was really odd.

The Winter house you sent is lovely :) This RR is a fab looking one ! Well captured with your photo of the morning darkness that us Uk 'rs are having just now, I seem to never turn the lights or heating off at the moment . Never mind it will soon be spring and I love the coziness of winter ;-))

Both the Winter House exchange pieces (given and received) look wonderful. How fun that you both picked the same pattern. The RR that you're working on now is looking lovely too.

Schoolgirl lessons was on my wish list also, I want to do it in a deep blue. My LNS has a superbowl sale this weekend, so I now have it on order.

What a great idea for a RR! Your stitching looks great. I can see now why you'd want to do a DD piece yourself.
