Silks have arrived!

I am so excited (i get excited very easily it seems!). My Vikki Clayton silk threads have arrived!! Yeah! These are the threads i am going to use for "cirque des cercles" by Ink Circles. I want to stitch this piece for my lounge which is pale yellow and cream. So i bought "marque des cercles" threads and am going to stitch the piece on a cream linen. Ooooooh, i can't wait! I wish i wasn't going out tonight and so busy the rest of the week as i really want to start it RIGHT NOW!! I'm so impatient LOL.I also bought some "russian sage" threads. I seen this colour on Angie's blog and thought it was lovely so i've bought a couple just to see what i thought. I really like it and am going to stitch Cheryl's bouquet with this one day.
I can't wait to stitch with silks. They feel so nice! I'll let you know how i get on. I'd better go and get ready to go out :( better leave my silks at home eh :) ?!

Oh those are amazing! You'll have to let us know how they are to stitch with - I've drooled over her site several times, but I've never ordered anything.

Oooooh, those are some good fondle-able (is that even a word? lol) fibers!! Lucky you! I've never stitched with silks, but am so tempted to... I do have a freebie that is begging for some skeins of varigated thread, so maybe I should wander over to VC's site and peek at hers... hmmmm.... :)

Wow! love your blog. cirque des cercles is such a neat design. I have never worked with silks, but here they are fabulous. I might look into this chart and try silks on this.

those silks look so nice...I'm sure you'll have fun stitching with them

I was wondering why so many threads of the same colours. After looking at the chart, my eyes just popped out.

Even with normal threads....stitching blocks of same colours is taxing imagine using alot of them & cross per cross.

Good luck with the great project!!

Cheryl--I have the premium floss, I can't tell if you got that or not. If you did, you can use 1 strand over 2 on 32 count! email me if you'd like .. angi.esch at gmail.com

Woohoh! Great silks! You reminded me I wanted to order Cirque... and the colors of the silks you got look fabulous for it! Is it Vicky's recommended conversion for this chart or did you just pick a color?

Your silks are lovely, my favorite is the Russian Sage. I've used silks before, but never the Vickki Clayton ones, be sure and let us know how you like them.
