Stash

I got some stash this week! I havent bought anything for absolutely ages but i seen this on sale at Thread Bear (a fab store) and couldnt resist it! CHS Alphabet Sampler and i also got this one....just because it's pretty and im going to SAL with Kathy!

Ive had a busy week this week. Im working 3 days a week for the next month as im doing a Charity Law training course. Also, my inlaws are over from Canada. This weekend we have a wedding tomorrow and a 21st birthday party on Sunday. Good job these Grandparents are here, babysitters on tap ;-)

Got my redundancy letter yesterday which sucks! Its more a formality as we have a merger looming at work and we can apply for jobs in the new regime but i dont know if i want to. Anyway, im starting to look for jobs and aiming higher. Im a Development officer for a charity but im going to start looking for Project Manager positions. I do have management responsibilities as part of my current remit. My boss is encouraging me to aim high and i know she'll help me with it. I could do it, im just wary of the huge responsibility that comes with Project Management of/in a Charity and the kinds of stress/pressure that could bring.

As an update to my previous post....bad ass stitchy woman removed herself/was removed from the group. Thank goodness!

Oh I am so glad that woman has been removed! That is how it should be!
Glad you got your pattern. When you are a little quieter, after your family visit, we shall start. I need to go find the pattern, find some yummy fabric and pull some threads. Yippee! A SAL with a good stitchy friend.

Good luck!!! It's a lot of potential stress (with a higher position) but you could also make a lot of positive change. Best wishes!!

Great stash Cheryl! I added that new CCN one to my stash right after the holidays. It's got my favourite colours and a snowman. Works for me! It's nice that you and Kathy are doing the SAL.

Good luck with your job hunt. A higher position may bring more stress but it's also a change and sometimes that's all we need.

Love the sampler. Worked in Projects most of my working life to director level and loved it. Had a tee shirt for when I gave presentations "change is good- you go first". I love change but not a lot of people do. In project work liking/loving and embracing change is a good thing. Good luck...aim high!!

Great new stash! I purchased the alphabet as well and would love to try and stitch it soon. Maybe when you do get round to stitching it we can do a SAL.

Good luck with your job hunting!

Ooh, I love your new stash. I have Snowflake Serenade on my wish list, and the BAP is gorgeous.
Sorry about your redundancy, but think positive, I was made redundant 2 years ago and it was actually the best thing to ever happen to me in the long run.
