50 things to do before you are 11 ¾.

"Research shows that fewer than one in ten of today's children have played in a wild place compared to half of their parents' generation."

Isnt that crazy? And sad?

Here's the National Trust's 50 things to do before you are 11 ¾ list designed to inspire both parents and kids alike. I like it!

When I was young these things just happened because most of my days were spent 'adventuring' with my friends. We took jam sarnies and a glass bottle of water to share and only reluctantly went home for tea. We jumped becks, wobbled across stepping stone crossings on a river and hunted for caterpillars on my dad's cabbages. How sad that we need to plan for our children to have the same fun, how wonderful that you do. Irene xxx
